In 2008, I was invited to have a series of work displayed at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. The project I decided to put up was a 5 part series entitled “When I grow up.” It was a visual representation of what every little boy goes through when deciding what he wants to be when he grows up, as told from the perspective of a senior in college trying to find his place in the world. So I drew five self portraits of what I would look like had I pursued any of those childhood ambitions.
